Great restaurant for tacos and drinks. Just love the decor. Very colourful and lively. The music is great. Lots of bachata. The tacos were delicious, a bit crispy on the edges. Many choices of drinks. Came here for lunch and really enjoyed the whole experience. Service was fast and efficient. Lots of parking. We came on a rainy day and they had the terrace covered so we could sit “outside”.
Pretty decent place to kill the taco crave while shopping at the dix60. We had the Al pastor, the shrimp, and the shredded beef tacos - they all tasted good. I would recommend them adding a battered fish taco to their menu so the pescatarians out there have more than one option. Service was average, as the food took a while (even though the restaurant was basically empty) and it came out wrong. Atmosphere is upbeat and cool.
Place has a great vibe, great service and was very clean. The food was lacking flavour. The consume for the birria tacos was watered down, shrimp tacos were dry, missing some kind of sauce or salsa. Guacamole and signature were delicious.
We feel like tacos should be enjoyed on a terrrase (ideally on a sunny day but this summer has not been kind) so, we were pleased to find a covered, heated and nicely decorated one here.
The size of the bar and sheer volume of spirits is quite frankly impressive. It takes up most of the indoor space. Which... Paired with the fact the alcohol menu is 7 pages long compared to 2 for food... Ends up being an accurate indication of what you can expect your experience to be like here.
While the tacos themselves aren't bad per se, very average, slightly crumbly with meat a little on the dry side, and lacking a little flavour - the main focus seems to be the alcohol. We would describe it more like a bar that happens to serve Mexican food.
But even then, what we ordered was underwhelming. A Horchata in a pineapple sounded somehow more sensational to us than the 20$ ice bucket we received.
The place is really nice and well-decorated, the atmosphere also is really nice. The service was okay, but it took time til we got the water. I didn’t like the food I would rate it below average. The place turns into a club after 11 in the weekend, but make sure alto have a reservation to get in. I would recommend to go party l/dance there. Prices are okay too
The place has a nice vibe, love the music but the menu doesn’t have a lot of variety of food. The drinks are good and presentation wise so pretty.
My boyfriend and I were visiting some friends on the South Shore and decided to stop by Dirty Dive Bar for lunch. We had never heard of the place before, and after a quick online search, the reviews were decent, but not excellent. Regardless, because we love Mexican food, we decided to stop in, and I am so glad we did! The tacos were delicious, and reminded me of top quality mom and pop Mexican places in the city! I had the Asado de puerco, and my boyfriend had the Al Pastor, and both were tender and flavourful. I would definitely recommend!
Nice decor and wait staff was very chill. Food is not great , kinda pricey but presentation was nice. Had a chicken burrito, rice undercooked. Bf had the al pastor tacos which weren't very authentic, with canned pinneapple and meat did not …
